Waiting isn’t something we do well in our culture. We are conditioned for instant answers, instant gratification, and instant results. Advent slows us down so we can make space to understand not only what we are waiting for, but how we are called to wait.

In the Kingdom of God, waiting is not idling, stalling, or wasting time. It is active, formational, aligning, and participatory. Waiting is not something we do until God moves… waiting is part of how God moves in us.
